gay marriages….. Toleration and open mindedness.
discrimination of religions other than Christianity………toleration and open mindedness
various vice laws (marijuana, prostitution)…………Toleration and openmindedness. Also common sense. Look what prohibition did. Drinking increased and organized crime stepped in to fill the market.

After 8 years of problems created by our leaders reducing taxes no matter what needed to be done, and seeing the disaster that caused, it stands to reason that reversing those decisions might help.

Taxation has been an economic and political tool since Dwight Eisenhower signed the first Internal Revenue Code in 1954. Taxes are an inconvenient necessity to fund things we all rely on: fire protection, police, defense, infrastructure. The sad thing is that politicians (regardless of party) are very quick to add to the bottom line.

… however I definitely prefer liberal solutions to the GOP ones (invade, occupy, and rob countries full of people that never did anything to us).

There was a time when conservatism held at it’s core fiscal responsibility; however, that age is long expired and Republican administrations have replaced that with reckless spending and sheer ignorance. So don’t sit on a soap box and simply rattle off all the problems America currently has because what you end up doing is make everyone (with a memory better than a goldfish) realise that all those global issues were failed through Republican administrations who were reluctant to change and adapt to the rest of the world. Hell the rest of the world is still waiting for America to go metric for crying out loud.
