Bacterial Vaginosis is commonly called vaginal bacteriosis and is mostly the cause of vaginal infection. It should not be mistaken as sexually transmitted, as it is actually caused by an imbalance of the bacteria that naturally occur in the vagina. It is normally characterized by a white smelly discharge that is excreted especially after sex, causing a smelly vagina. The presence of such smelly discharge should be reason to check for the presence of the disease, as normal discharge should be odorless and clear.
